Have fun growing an olive tree

If you’re lucky it may reward you with your very own crop of olives.

Olive trees can be grown in containers or planted in the ground. Most plants are more likely to flourish outside and olive trees are very hardy. They like a sunny spot and should survive the winter without being wrapped in protection.

Transplant your tree into regular compost in a larger pot or into the ground, keep it watered but not saturated and feed it regularly from spring to late summer. We recommend our Loo’s Poo Olive Tree Feed.

The trees blossom in late spring with tiny white flowers and lots of yellow blossom.  If you’re lucky it will then fruit with olives ripening in late autumn.
