We’re feeling festively chilly at Rustic Puglia – the nights are sharp and frosty, dusting the land with a sprinkle of icing sugar to wake up to every morning. The bright sunshine soon melts it but winter has certainly settled and we’re enjoying the change of season.
Autumn is a busy time, we wave goodbye to our last guests at the end of October and immediately welcome volunteers from the brilliant Workaway scheme. This year we had six helpers who got stuck into picking olives, painting walls, pruning trees and building a hay store. For six weeks it was a hive of activity here and we’re thrilled with the results of their hard work.
We’re celebrating Christmas in England this year. After five years in Italy mulled wine and mince pies have become exotic, and Prosecco and Panettone pedestrian. So we’re going to enjoy all the English Christmas traditions with family and friends, having our own holiday before coming back to get Rustic Puglia ready for 2014.
Merry Christmas to all, thank you for choosing Rustic Puglia for your holidays and for buying our delicious olive oil. We love sharing what we do with you and look forward to many more happy encounters in the new year.
