Buon Natale
The fire is crackling with the wood that Andy cut in the spring from his major prune of our almond trees, so we are cozy and warm as the temperatures here also plummet to -2. The snow in fact fell in February, but one of the many things we have learnt during our first year in Puglia is that the weather can be as changeable here as it is in the UK. Father Christmas, or Babbo Natale, is eagerly expected by Rosie and Lucas, and instead of the traditional British turkey we will be enjoying porchetta – roasted pork belly – on Christmas Day. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope to see you in the New Year.
