Our Trullo

Our Trullo

The little pixie houses known as trulli dominate this area of Puglia and our property is no exception. Lovingly restored, we’ve designed the Trullo so that it combines its rustic integrity with luxurious touches; every comfort has been anticipated so that you can be assured of a relaxing stay. It has two double bedrooms, both ensuite, and can comfortably accommodate a family of five.

The Trullo is based on a week’s self catering, with changeover day on Sunday, and offers:

Bedroom 1 This double bedroom is under two of the Trullo cones within the oldest part of the building. It can be arranged as a double or twin bedroom and has fairylights strewn over the beams. The bedside lights are set within original alcoves and the wardrobe is formed from the old well. It also has its own entrance from the terrace.

Bathroom 1 The ensuite bathroom is situated under the third Trullo cone and uses the best Italian-designed integrated bath and shower, WC and basin. The mosaic tiles in natural, organic tones flow into the restored stonework of the Trullo roof.

Bedroom 2 A double bedroom with a vaulted ceiling that can be arranged as a double or twin. The window looks out over the terrace and original alcoves form the wardrobe. A third ‘put me up’ style bed can be arranged for families with three children.

Bathroom 2 This spacious ensuite bathroom has a large walk-in shower, basin, WC and bidet. The modern fittings are offset by the stylish mosaic tiles and natural stone and plaster finish.

Kitchen The kitchen has been designed to provide a comfortable space under a vaulted ceiling in which to cook your Italian feast. It is well equipped and offers a 5-ring gas hob, oven, under-counter fridge with freezer/icebox compartment and dishwasher (the washing machine is in an external laundry room). It also has a small table, and a large table is provided on the terrace to dine al fresco.

Living With doors opening to the terrace and a vaulted ceiling, the living room is furnished simply and stylishly and includes TV and an Xbox to watch DVDs and play games. Wifi is available but please note that we cannot guarantee the service.

Outside The Trullo has its own terrace in front of the property with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. There is a large stone dining table on the terrace that seats 8, a BBQ and a shaded gazebo which is large enough to lie down on. Plus there are five acres of land where you can sit and read under an ancient olive tree or pick your own seasonal organic fruit and veg from our raised beds for lunch.

Pool The 4.5×11 meter salt-water swimming pool is situated adjacent to the house. It is sympathetically fenced to help keep small children safe and has a large gazebo to provide lots of shade.

We live on-site  in the farm’s old Stables and are always happy to help

You couldn’t ask for more – a truly country setting yet just five minutes from the nearest town and half an hour away from a fantastic choice of beaches.
