Trullo Living

The little pixie houses known as ‘Trulli’ dominate this area of Puglia, and ours is a perfect example.

The olive farm

Lovingly restored, we designed the Trullo to combine its rustic integrity with luxurious touches; every comfort has been anticipated so that you can be assured of a relaxing stay. There are two double bedrooms, both ensuite, and it comfortably accommodates a family with up to 3 children.

The wide terrace has fantastic views of the surrounding countryside, plus there are five acres of land where you can sit and read under an ancient olive tree or pick your own seasonal organic fruit and veg from the kitchen garden for lunch. With wifi throughout, a washing machine and dryer, bbq, professional trampoline and swings for children, you couldn’t ask for more. It’s a truly country setting with every modern convenience, yet just five minutes from the nearest town and half an hour away from a fantastic choice of beaches.

The large 5x11m swimming pool is situated adjacent to the house where there are plenty of sunloungers and a large gazebo to provide lots of shade. It’s sympathetically fenced to help keep small children safe, with Roman steps to enter it and an extended shallow end.

Bedroom 1 This double bedroom is under two of the Trullo cones within the oldest part of the building. It can be arranged as a double or twin bedroom and has fairylights strewn over the beams. The bedside lights are set within original alcoves and the wardrobe is formed from the old well. It also has its own entrance from the terrace.

Bathroom 1 The ensuite bathroom is situated under the third Trullo cone and uses the best Italian-designed integrated bathtub and shower, WC and basin. The mosaic tiles in natural, organic tones flow into the restored stonework of the Trullo roof.

Bedroom 2 A double bedroom with a vaulted ceiling that can be arranged as a double or twin. The window looks out over the terrace and original alcoves form the wardrobe. A third guest bed or cot can be arranged for families with three children.

Bathroom 2 This spacious ensuite bathroom has a large walk-in shower, basin, WC and bidet. The modern fittings are offset by the stylish mosaic tiles and natural stone and plaster finish.

Kitchen The kitchen has been designed to provide a comfortable space under a vaulted ceiling in which to cook your Italian feast. It’s well equipped and offers a 5-ring gas hob, electric oven, under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, and a small table.

Sitting room With doors opening to the terrace and a vaulted ceiling, the sitting room is furnished simply and stylishly and includes TV, DVD player and an Xbox 360 with lots of films and games. There’s a toy box for children aged up to five, some family board games and plenty of books for everyone.

Little touches The kitchen has plenty of recipe books to help inspire your Italian feast, they feature Italian cuisine, local Pugliese dishes and children’s cookery books so little ones can join in. We provide a good range of guidebooks to the area, both ‘coffee table’ style and the in-depth Lonely Planet. There are also maps and brochures to the local towns to help you plan your holiday, as well as suggestions in our guest book. For pool and beach days we provide you with towels for each, so no need to pack your own.
